Mindo Cloud Forest, Ecuador

The Mindo Cloud Forest, is located in mountains beyond Quito. It is about a two hours drive from Quito, so it is possible to visit on a day trip but we suggest you stay a night of two to fully explore this beautiful region of Ecuador.

Visitors to this area can expect to see a lush cloud forest with over 400 species of birds, numerous orchid, rivers, butterflies, waterfalls and wildlife.

Your level of adventure can range from basic to extreme. There are a few activity operators offering tours such as rafting, repelling, hiking, ziplines and nature tours.
